Maciej Sachse

/hello

I am Maciej.

Computational Designer, based in Delft, Netherlands. The sketch above is a space-colonization tree — six branches, six bodies of work. Hover a branch to scope it; the same algorithm shapes the Maker Chair.

Practice

Computational designer working across geometry, agentic AI systems, and digital fabrication. Core stack is Rhino and Grasshopper, Karamba3D for structural analysis, and Ladybug/Honeybee for environmental performance. Python drives the heavier automation and geometry pipelines; TypeScript, Supabase, and MongoDB support the custom tools and web apps that sit alongside the design work.

Professional experience spans Computational Design and BIM Coordination at WXCA in Warsaw and Gdańsk, with contributions to more than twelve delivered projects across cultural, residential, and public-sector briefs. Currently Project Manager at Architekton GDA, responsible for end-to-end delivery of modular construction units, and a volunteer researcher at the TU Delft Robotic Building Lab. Previously led the Information Architecture research group at Warsaw University of Technology.

My approach treats fabrication and engineering constraints as design drivers rather than afterthoughts — every script, model, or interface is built to close the gap between intent and what can actually be delivered on site. I work best in interdisciplinary teams, take ownership of the full path from concept to handover, and prefer shipping a working prototype early over refining a brief in isolation. Reliability, clear communication, and measurable outcomes are non-negotiable for me on any project.
